Radiometrix Ltd, has launched a range of frequency programmable, RF power-adjustable radios.
NTX2B narrow-band FM transmitter is available on user/factory programmable frequencies between 425 and 470MHz, and supersedes the existing NTX2 – offering greater stability and improved performance through the use of a VCTCXO reference.
Re-programming is through a UART – for other channel frequencies in the band, or to store new frequency/power settings in non-volatile memory.
As standard, NTX2B version is a 10mW 25kHz narrow-band transmitter with data rates up to 10kbit/s, available on 434.075 and 434.650MHz European SRD frequencies, and 25mW on 458.700MHz for the UK.
It is also available with 12.5kHz or 20kHz channel spacing for licensed US FCC Part 90 or legacy European telemetry/telecommand bands.
Inside is a regulator which enables the transmitter to be operated from 2.9 to 15V at nominally 18mA, or <3uA powered-down – from which it can be enabled in under 5ms.
Both digital and 3Vp-p analogue signals can be transmitted.
Paired with the new NRX2B receiver, over 500m range is claimed.
Applications in security, sensor networks, industrial telemetry, commercial telemetry and remote control are expected.
