Hynix had Q3 revenues of $4.08 billion for a profit of $1.24 billion.
DRAM ASP was flat in the quarter and shipments rose 7%.
NAND prices fell 2% in Q3 but shipments rose 26%.
Revenue was 5.6% up on Q3 2013.
Hynix’s US rival Micron, with which it vies for the No.2 memory supplier ranking after Samsung, had $4.3 billion revenues for calendar Q3 for a profit of $1.15 billion which was down from the $1.7 billion profit of calendar Q3 2013.
Both companies are concerned about Samsung’s plan to build a $15 billion memory mega-fab which will impact the market in 2017.
