Big growth in H1

It was a good first half for the semiconductor industry, reports IC Insights, some companies recorded big gains.

Mediatek grew 38% thanks to its take-over of MStar, AMD grew 26%, Hynix 20%, Micron 19%, Samsung and Infineon 17%, Freescale 15%, Nvidia and NXP 14%.

The only two companies with declining revenues in H1 were Toshiba and ST which each shrank 9%.
