Macronix to start 8-inch OEM wafer business

NOR flash supplier Macronix International plans to cash in on the tight production at 8-inch fabs by starting an 8-inch OEM wafer business, according to company president CY Lu. The company currently focuses on production of NOR flash, NAND flash and ROM chips.
