Sales of chip manufacturing equipment fell 7% last year to $59.8 billion, says SEMI, compared to $64.5 billion in 2018. Taiwan overtook Korea to be the biggest market last year buying equipment worth $17.12 billion. China was second, buying equipment worth $13.45 billion.
