US$1.6 billion market forecast for chemical materials used to make LCD panels in 2015, says IHS

The market for the four primary chemical materials used in TFT LCD production is expected to reach US$1.6 billion in 2015. Revenues from sales of etchant alone, used for electrode patterning, will reach US$850 million, according to IHS. More than 660,000 tons of etchant will be consumed by the display industry in 2015.
