Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) on November 17 started open-bid competition for six 2,500-2,600MHz frequency band units with total bandwidth of 190MHz available for 4G mobile communication operation, with bidding prices reaching a total of NT$15.07 billion (US$464 million), which was 4.65% in excess of the total floor price of NT$14.4 billion, according to NCC.
