IC designers eye business opportunity from force touch solutions

More Taiwan-based IC design houses, including FocalTech Systems and Himax Technologies, have stepped up their efforts to develop force touch sensors as China-based smartphone vendors Huawei and Xiaomi Technology are likely to launch flagship smartphones supporting 3D touch technology, according to industry sources.
