Acer currently has about 200 employees in Taiwan and North America specifically for its Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC) business unit, and as demand for BYOC services has far exceeded supply capacity, the company plans to recruit more R&D and marketing personnel in one year to form a 1,000-member team, according to company founder Stan Shih.
