Spreadtrum announces support for Tizen operating system

IC design house Spreadtrum Communications has successfully completed the integration of Tizen operating system (OS) with its WCDMA chipsets, according to the China-based company. This integrated platform is now shipping in Samsung's first Tizen smartphone, the Z1, released in January 2015 to the Indian market.
