SMIC receives investment from China IC Industry Investment Fund

Semiconductor Manufacturing International (SMIC), China's largest semiconductor foundry, has announced an investment agreement from the China IC Industry Investment Fund (CICIIF), China's national fund established to promote the local IC industry. Under the agreement, CICIIF will acquire 4.7 billion new shares at a subscription price of HK$0.6593 (US$0.09) per share.
