Commentary: TSMC, UMC may accelerate investment in China after Qualcomm antitrust ruling

Foundry houses Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) will feel increasing pressure to accelerate their deployments in China after Qualcomm was fined US$975 million by the China government for violating local antitrust laws.
