China to offer new subsidies for energy-efficient LCD TVs, say Taiwan makers

The China government is preparing a new program to subsidize purchases of energy-efficient home-use electric appliances of which a large portion will be LCD TVs, and is expected to implement the subsidization as early as March 2015, Taiwan-based TV makers cited industry sources in China as indicating.
