Taiwan IC suppliers to benefit as Samsung steps up purchases of IC parts

Samsung Electronics has stepped up the purchase of IC parts for its smartphones which will help ramp up revenues for a number of Taiwan-based IC design houses in the third quarter of 2014, according to industry sources.
