Major Android smartphone vendors bracing for slow sales in 2H14, say sources

Major Android-based smartphone vendors, including Samsung Electronics, Sony Mobile Communications, LG Electronics and HTC, are bracing for slow sales in the second half of 2014 as China-based vendors continue to expand their portfolio for the entry-level and mid-range segments, while the market is waiting for the debut of the speculated large-size iPhone, according to sources in Taiwan's handset supply chain.
