Fluid temperature sensor

Vishay has introduced a 4mm diameter immersion sensor for fluid temperature sensing.

Called NTCAIMME3, its stainless steel housing (2mm tip) allows permanent contact with fluids.

Key parameters are:

• -25 to +105°C range


• 1.5s response time


• <0.02K/K thermal gradient


• +/-1.5°C accuracy.


• 100mW maximum power dissipation

Construction is a negative temperature coefficeint (NTC) thermistor chip in a housing with twin PVC-insulated 30 AWG wire connections.

A version with a brass collar is available for for sealed mounting.

The NTC has a resistance at +25°C (R25) of 10kΩ, (+/-3%), and beta (B25/85) of 3984K (+/-0.5 %).

Applications are expectd in liquid processing equipment, water boilers, chillers, water tanks, oil tanks, consumer appliances, medical fluid circulators, and solar heating systems.
