Taiwan-based MCU supplier Nuvoton Technology is ready to cash in on the growing market demand for wireless charging microcontroller units (MCUs) in 2018 as it is capable of offering multi-coil MCUs ranging in power specs from low to high watts and has had all its products clear the Qi-certification system of the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) to qualify for application to wireless charging for smartphones and other mobile devices, according to company president Shangyi Dai.
