Taiwan-based chip designer MediaTek has newly released its Helio P-series chipset solutions for smartphones, aiming to regain its share of the global market for SoCs for midrange smartphones. But the release is accompanied by a spate of question marks hanging over whether the new SoCs will be accepted by terminal consumers, whether they will be conducive to MediaTek's operations in the short term, among others.
