Taiwan's October 2016 consumer price index (CPI) of 106.99 (2011 as base year) increased 1.45% on month and 1.70% on year, while the corresponding wholesale price index (WPI) of 84.67 rose 0.77% on month but dropped 1.88% on year, according to statistics released by the Directorate-General Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) on November 8.
