Era of Silicon 4.0: TSIA chairman talks about virtual Moore's Law

With 2015 being the 50th anniversary of Moore's Law, one of the hottest topics that has continued to be discussed up until now in the semiconductor industry has been whether Moore's Law would come to an end. Nicky Lu, chairman of the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association, recently addressed this issue at the 2016 IEEE Asian International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) held in Toyama, Japan, by highlighting the concept of heterogeneous integration design architecture system (HIDAS), a virtual Moore's Law which he believes will enable Moore's Law to continue to prevail for the next 30 years.
