HTC picks 33 Vive X VR Accelerator start-ups in first batch

Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC, in order to set up a VR (virtual reality) ecosystem, in April 2016 began to implement its Vive X VR Accelerator program with an initial supporting fund of US$100 million and has chosen 33 start-ups from nearly 1,200 applicants across more than 30 countries in the first batch, the company on August 31 announced at the 2016 China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference (ChinaJoy) taking place in Shanghai, eastern China, during July 28-31.
