China's state-run enterprises have started the open-bid selection process for PV module suppliers for model PV power-generating stations to be established in China in 2016, and because they set a too high required power output standard for PV modules made of polycrystalline silicon solar cells (poly-Si PV modules), PV module makers are likely to concentrate in models made of monocrystalline solar cells out of consideration of feasibility in technology and investment, according to industry sources.
