Acer's Jibo robot project led by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab will start shipping in October. The robot was originally planned for mass production in the first half of 2016, but the schedule has been changed to allow for improvements on the robot. The selling price of the robot has also been raised from US$599 to US$749.
