China March mobile communication user base grows to 1.293 billion, says MIIT

There were 1.293 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China as of the end of March 2016, increasing 0.71% on month but decreasing 0.08% on year. 264.37 million (20.45%) were 3G users, 533.37 million (41.25%) 4G, and 1.011 billion (78.16%) were mobile Internet-access users, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
