Taiwan solar cell makers shift to higher efficiency models for shipments to China

Taiwan-based crystalline silicon solar cell makers, in view of price-cut competition for polycrystalline solar cells with energy conversion rates of 17.8-18.0%, have increased production of models with energy conversion rates of 18.2% or above particularly for shipments to China-based PV module makers, according to industry sources.
