Taiwan solar cell makers may withdraw from US anti-dumping tariff review

JA Solar has asked the US Department of Commerce (DOC) to select Vietnam-based PV module makers Vina Solar Technology and Boviet Solar Technology as respondents in its review of the anti-dumping tariff rates imposed on Taiwan-based solar cell makers since December 2014. If the request is accepted, some or all of the 12 Taiwan-based solar cell makers who have applied to be covered in the review may withdraw their applications as they may face increased, rather than decreased, in tariff rates, according to industry sources.
