Toshiba announced on March 17 its board of directors has decided on a construction and equipment investment plan for a new fabrication facility for expanded production of BiCS Flash, the company's proprietary 3D flash memory, with an estimated cost of approximately JPY360 billion (US$3.22 billion) from FY2016 to FY2018.
