LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Epistar, in view of global oversupply of LED chips and consequently continual price drops, has temporarily stopped operation of more than 100 relatively old MOCVD sets, equivalent to 15-20% of its total production capacity, to reduce output, according to industry sources.
