Taiwan attractive for setting up data centers due to low power, water costs

Google has set up a data center in a coastal industrial park in central Taiwan and Facebook plans to set up a data center beside a high-speed rail station in central Taiwan. In addition, Microsoft is interested in doing so. According to local industry analysts, Taiwan's attractiveness to international Internet service providers for setting up data centers is mainly because its power and water supply prices are relatively low as well as Taiwan's geographic location functions as a node for submarine cable systems in the Asia Pacific region.
