Harvard goes for LED streetlight market

Harvard CLD street lamp LED driver Yorkshire-based Harvard Engineering is aiming at streetlights with a range of dimmable LED drivers.

The CLH Single Channel driver offers up to 200W, with resistor-programmable drive current.

“The product can be programmed across a number of different current ranges, which means customers can standardise on a single driver to reduce inventory,” said the firm.

High efficiency was a design focus.

“Its 120-277V input offers 91% efficiency at 120V and 93% at 277V, with 6kV surge protection,” said Harvard, adding: “WiMAC compatibility comes as standard.”

Applications are also sought outside street lighting, and there is an IP66 version for wet environments.

The firm has opened a warehouse in New Jersey to allow it to offer five-working-day ground delivery in North America for stock including the CLH driver.
