China January mobile phone user base growing to 1.235 billion, says MIIT

There were 1.235 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China as of the end of January 2014, growing 0.5% on month and 10.08% on year. 419.24 million (33.94%) were 3G users and 837.54 million (67.80%) were mobile Internet-access users, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
